Map the complete signal chain

List the sensor at each measurement point, its wiring, the proposed transmitter location and the receiving controller. The transmitter input must match the sensor; its output must match the controller. Record whether the equipment builder will configure units and range at assembly or expects a factory configuration supplied with each instrument.

Choose the interface deliberately

TT102 provides an isolated analogue transmitter option. TT248H combines a head-mounted module with HART communication, while TT101D provides a DIN-rail HART arrangement. TT485 is an RS485 Modbus candidate. These are different integration routes: confirm the controller hardware and software before comparing modules on temperature range alone.

Check mounting and maintenance access

For a head-mounted module, confirm the sensor-head dimensions and terminal access. For a cabinet module, review available rail space, ambient temperature and cable segregation. Request the configuration tools and applicable instructions for the exact product. A compatible signal type does not guarantee that every software tool supports every device function.

Standardize the production handover

Create a configuration sheet containing sensor type, wiring, units, range, output and equipment tag. Approve a pilot assembly before rolling the configuration into a repeat order. Keep the configured values and acceptance readings with the machine documentation so maintenance staff can order a replacement with the same signal mapping.
