What the published case establishes

Emerson's 2024 case describes a Chinese power plant supplying an 工业 park. It used Annubar multivariable 流量计 and 无线 communication to collect steam measurements from dispersed users. This is a third-party project, not a WESIVO installation or endorsement.

The following is a separate planning checklist for a proposed installation. It does not reproduce that customer's design or transfer the supplier's reported results to other equipment.

Define the quantity before asking for a transmitter

Write down whether the requested value is operating-volume 流量, mass 流量, accumulated mass or delivered energy. Give each value its unit and identify which is for monitoring and which is intended for billing. A quotation for a DP transmitter alone does not define the performance or legal suitability of the complete 仪表.

For a new enquiry, attach the pipe drawing, internal dia仪表 and material, steam condition, minimum/normal/maximum 流量, operating 压力 and 温度, and the primary-element calculation sheet if available. Identify 压力 values as 绝压 or 表压. Ask the responsible designer to define the compensation model rather than treating a square-root conversion as a complete steam calculation.

Give every calculation one owner

Create a signal schedule with one row per transmitted value: source 仪表, variable, unit, lower and upper range values, destination and calculation owner. Include the actual analogue-output assignment; a local display labelled as 流量 is not sufficient evidence of what the current represents. Yokogawa's FAQ explicitly distinguishes local indication from the value sent to a 控制器.

• If current represents linear DP, identify the downstream 流量 calculation and its required inputs.
• If current already represents calculated 流量, state that output characteristic and prevent an additional square-root operation on the same value.
• List static 压力 and 温度 channels separately where the selected calculation needs them.
• For a 无线 proposal, specify the actual protocol, gateway, update requirement and stale-data indication; do not assume that unrelated 无线 protocols are interchangeable.

Agree on evidence at handover

Request the approved primary-element data sheet, 仪表 configuration export, I/O schedule and a calculation test record. Include intermediate signal points so that an incorrect transfer function is visible. Keep a simulated current-input check distinct from a 压力-input test and from verification against actual 流量; each covers a different portion of the chain.

An internal energy-monitoring project and a billing application can require different approval and verification arrangements. Ask the project owner to identify those requirements before comparing quotations.
